Pittsburgh Photography / Couples Seeing Each Other Before Ceremony

Weddings celebrate rich, time-honored tradition. Regardless of which culture, religious affiliation or country of origin the couple represents, traditional elements make their way into the wedding to one degree or another. With so many personal decisions involved in wedding planning, the results are never run of the mill. One such decision that you may agonize over is whether to see your partner before the ceremony, or to wait for your eyes to meet on the aisle. It can put you in a conundrum. To continue this article click Here.

Pittsburgh DJ - Shawna & Micheal 4/10
On Saturday April 10 I had the pleasure of being the DJ at Shawna & Michael Koprucki's wedding reception. The wedding reception was held at St. Nick's Greek Orthodox Hall in Oakland. Johanna Seese is the coordinator at St. Nick's and it is always a pleasure to work with her.
Shawna and Michael had their cocktail reception in the Crystal Room and the dinner and dancing portion of their evening was in the larger Cathedral Room at St Nick's. The cocktail and dinner music featured a mix of adult contemporary and classic vocalists like Frank Sinatra and Nat "King" Cole.
The couple shared their first dance together to the song "Someone Like You" by Van Morrison. Shawna then invited her father to the dance floor and they danced to Bob Dylan's "Forever Young". The father daughter dance was followed by Michael sharing a dance with his mother to the song "Wonderful World" by Louie Armstrong.
The rest of the evening saw a lot of great partying. There was a wide range of music from current top 40 to classic wedding favorites. Like many of the couples that I work with, Shawna and Michael used my on line Pittsburgh DJ planning forms and music lists to help put their evening together.
My brother Curt of Curt's Photography was the photographer and he will be posting more photos of the event in the near future.

Pittsburgh DJ - Jessica & Robert 4/9
On Friday April 9th I had the pleasure to DJ the wedding of Jessica and Robert Fernandes. The reception took place at the Crown Plaza Pittsburgh South.
The Crown Plaza always does a great job and this wedding reception was true to form, Great food, hors d'oeuvres and excellent service!
Because the bride and groom lived out of state, they really took advantage of the wedding planning tools that I have on my Pittsburgh DJ website. They picked out music for the cocktail and dinner hours as well as music for their first dance and the dancing portion of the evening.
The couple choose to share their first dance together to the song No One, by Alicia Keys. For the bridal party entrance the couple used the Beatles, All You Need Is Love.
The cocktail and dinner hours featured music by artists like Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. The dancing portion of the evening featured wedding favorites like the Chicken Dance and the Cha Cha Slide as well as a nice selection of hip-hop and 80's rock and roll.
Jessie and Bobby were a great couple to work with and a lot of fun. Entertainment Tonite wishes them all the best.
